DESCRIPTION:Run the Green 3 Mile course with Jamestown’s St. Pat’s Dash. The 3 Mile run/walk kicks off the 2025 Runner of the Year Series. \n\n\n\nThe race will start at 9:30 AM on March 15th\, 2025. \n\n\n\nDAY of registration and check in will be from 8:15 AM – 9:15 AM in the Northwest Arena lobby.  Day of registration will be $30.00 with limited shirt availability. Register by Friday\, February 28th to guarantee a t-shirt with the cost of registration. \n\n\n\nAWARDS will take place at 10:30 AM in The Arena Club\, which is located upstairs of the Northwest Arena. \n\n\n\nPOST-RACE EVENT: \n\n\n\nAfter the race\, join us for “Putts & Pints\,” a mini golf bar crawl fundraiser supporting Chautauqua Striders. Gather a team of four to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend while helping local businesses and our organization. Participation costs $20 per person\, $80 per team. The winning team will receive a cash prize and a St. Patrick’s Day-themed award. DESCRIPTION:This race is part of the 2024 Runner of the Year Series sponsored by Keybank. \n\n\n\nHOSTED BY THE CHAUTAUQUA INSTITUTION: \n\n\n\nWelcome to the CHQ Trailblazer Challenge—an obstacle adventure like no other! Get ready to immerse yourself in the great outdoors and tackle a course that blends the thrill of overcoming obstacles with the beauty of nature. Many of our obstacles are hand-crafted\, making this a one-of-a-kind run. From the moment you leap past that starting line until you triumphantly cross the finish\, prepare to have an amazing time\, and create new friendships along the way! \n\n\n\nAll participants will receive a unique t-shirt of their size if registered before September 30th and a CHQ Trailblazer Challenge Soap medal. Post race refreshments and awards ceremony will be held in the banquet hall at the Chautauqua Golf Course. \n\n\n\nProceeds from this event will be used towards ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the CHQ Trail\, a free community resource to the residents and visitors of the greater Chautauqua County area.

SUMMARY:Dan Feather Memorial 5K
DESCRIPTION:This race is part of the 2024 Runner of the Year Series sponsored by Keybank. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nOn Sunday\, September 1\, Chautauqua Striders will host the 2024 Daniel Feather Memorial 5K Race and Walk. The event raises money to support youth programming and a scholarship named after our later co-founder. Daniel Feather co-founded the Chautauqua Striders in 1979\, and served as a volunteer coach for several years. Money raised through this event will also go toward ensuring our athletic programs are affordable for all kids. Since 1979 Chautauqua Striders has been helping young people realize and achieve their fullest potential on the track and in school. The Daniel Feather Memorial 5K is a part of our 2024 Runner of the Year Series\, sponsored by KeyBank \n\n\n\nCheck-in and day of registration will start at 8:15 AM the day of the race. There is a 5K run division\, a 5k walk division\, and a separate division for Jamestown police officers. Young athletes have the option to choose the events in which they compete based on their individual interests and abilities. \n\n\n\nChautauqua Striders aims to encourage and promote participation and competition in the sport of track and field by providing a program for athletes of all ages. The Youth Track and Field Development Program serves as an introduction to the sport of track and field for young athletes and their parents. Track and field is unique because it allows young athletes to choose if they want to sprint\, hurdle\, run\, jump\, vault\, put\, toss\, or hurl. Some athletes might excel in one event while others enjoy the competition of many. Through participation\, athletes can learn basic athletic skills which can be applied to further athletic development. \n\n\n\nYouth Track and Field Development Program will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 9th – August 15th – 5:30 – 7:30 pm.
