The event raises money to support youth programming and a scholarship named after our later co-founder. Daniel Feather co-founded the Chautauqua Striders in 1979\, and served as a volunteer coach for several years. Money raised through this event will also go toward ensuring our athletic programs are affordable for all kids. Since 1979 Chautauqua Striders has been helping young people realize and achieve their fullest potential on the track and in school.
