January is National Mentoring Month, and here at Chautauqua Striders we are delighted to be able to take the opportunity to celebrate and recognize the members of our community who have given their time to support and enhance the lives of young people in Chautauqua County.
The Mentor Appreciation Dinner is an event where we share stories of the new Mentor -Mentee relationships built in 2022 and also those that have existed for many years. Both those volunteering as mentors and the youth who have been matched with a mentor share their experiences, and the difference that the relationship has made to them. It is a night why we reflect on our saying; “Mentor One Child. Change Two Lives.”
